Board of Directors Application Process

If you care about our cooperative, its ownership and staying successful in a challenging business environment, you should consider running for the Board of Directors. The continued success and health of a co-op depends on a strong, knowledgeable board. For more information about the Board of Directors see Board Responsibilities.

The Board of Directors is elected by the owners of the Wedge at the Annual Meeting in October. The Nominations Committee, comprised of one Director, one member of Wedge management and one Owner-at-Large, oversees the application and election process according to the following timeline

  • June, Call for Owner-at-Large
  • June, Call for Board Candidates, application period opens
  • Board applications due; application period closes June 25, 2015
  • July, application screening, candidates selected for interviews the week of July 13, 2015
  • August, Board of Directors approves recommended slate of candidates for ballot
  • September-October, election period open for owner voting
  • Election period concludes at the Annual Meeting, October 22, 2015
  • Election results announced

*Please Note: Upon completion of the interviews, the Nomination Committee forwards a slate of candidates to the Board for approval; background checks are performed on those candidates listed on the slate. With the Board's approval, the slate is forwarded to the ballot for owner voting during the annual election period.
