The weather was perfect for the GOE Open House on Saturday Aug. 21 and the turnout proved it. Several hundred Wedge members and other friends of the farm came out to our organic farm on the prairie. Visitors enjoyed three flavors of salsas made from farm produce - traditional tomato, cucumber-feta and a watermelon salsa with olives. Farm Manager Linda Halley gave two tours on a tractor-pulled wagon while other farm staff roasted red and poblano peppers for sampling.
Children's activities included the Vegetable Art Table. Check out their work and plan to attend next year.
