Donations

Since The Wedge receives many requests for donations, we have a committee comprised of Wedge staff to review and grant donations. Donations are in the form of a $60 gift certificate.

The Wedge has a limited budget for donations. We give consideration to nonsectarian, nonpartisan organizations and events that fit the following criteria:

• co-op related;
• focused on the environment;
• food related; or
• a local group or organization;
• in and for a neighborhood served by the Wedge Co-op;
• limited to one donation per organization in a calendar year.

If you are planning a project that fits our criteria, please feel free to contact us in the near future regarding a donation. Our donations committee meets no more than once per month, so we request that you submit your request at least eight (8) weeks in advance of your fundraiser or event. We give all eligible donations equal weight and consideration by group decision only; we therefore cannot expedite requests or make exceptions for requests that do not reach us before the monthly meeting.
