Whether you crave fresh mozzarella or an eight-year aged cheddar, you will find something to love on our cheese shelves. Our case features local cheeses, some made by descendants of master cheese-makers who settled in the Midwest from Switzerland and Italy, and outstanding world cheeses. You'll find Certified Organic cheese, cheeses made with milk from cows, sheep, goats, and water buffalo, local cave-aged blues and cheeses right off the farmstead.

We are proud to feature fresh-pulled mozzarella in our artisan cheese case in aisle seven. This is made fresh early in the mornings by our own staff from high quality fresh cheese curds. Slices of fresh mozzarella with sliced tomatoes and fresh basil leaves, a drizzle of olive oil and a pinch of salt make the refreshing summertime Insalata Caprese.

The case may be small but the selection is amazing. We offer over 300 cheeses and cheese accompaniments daily and over one-third of them are local.

Our cheese-buyers have visited a number of the farms where the animals graze and the shops where the cheese is made. Our members want to know more than the labels claim and so do we. We select cheeses from producers we trust, who will tell us the whole story, so we can tell you. Our cheese staff is very knowledgeable and always available to help just ask at the deli counter if you don't see someone at the case.
