February 19, 2013 - BBU, Inc., the parent of the Bimbo Bakeries companies, has initiated a voluntary recall due to possible presence of flexible wire caused by a faulty screen at a third party flour mill.
This recall does not affect any products currently offered for sale in retail stores but the company, out of an abundance of caution, wants to alert consumers to check any affected products they may still have in their homes.

Urgent Recall Due to Undeclared Nuts
Nature's Path Hemp Plus Granola, sold in bulk only (packaged products not affected by recall), may have undeclared almond slices.

November 28, 2012- Sukhi's Gourmet Indian Foods is alerting customers that because of a label error, a single lot code of Red Curry with Vegetables contains undeclared shrimp. Consumers who have an allergy or severe sensitivity to shrimp, run the risk of serious or life-threatening allergic reactions if they consume this product. No illnesses have been reported in connection to this product. No other products from Sukhi's have been impacted.
Sukhi's is voluntarily recalling Lot code 3390113612 with a Use-By Date of 5/14/2013 with a UPC code: 7-67226-02901-6
The product was shipped to distributers in California, Texas, Minnesota and Georgia, between the dates of 5/21/2012 and 10/15/2013.
Sukhi's became aware of the error, after receiving a customer complaint. Investigation into the complaint confirmed that some boxes of a single lot of Red Curry and Vegetables inadvertently contained Yellow Curry with Shrimp. No illnesses have been reported in connection with this product.
Consumers who have purchased product with this lot code should return the product to the store where it was purchased to receive a replacement or a refund.

Alden's Peanut Butter 'n Chip, 48oz. has been expanded to include lot numbers 10060-12261.
General Mills Inc. on 10-09-2012 announced a recall of some Cascadian Farms granola bars because they could contain peanuts from a New Mexico supplier enmeshed in a larger, salmonella-related recall.
Golden Valley-based General Mills voluntarily recalled six-count boxes of its Cascadian Farms Peanut Butter Chip Chewy Granola Bars with the "Better if Used By" dates of Nov. 1 and Nov. 2, 2012. The recall involves about 144,000 boxes of bars nationwide.
Please do not eat any the product featuring "Better if Used By" dates of Nov. 1st or Nov. 2nd, 2012. Bring them to Customer Serivce and we will refund them.
General Mills also said consumers should dispose of the following Cascadian Farms bars that are past their "Better if Used By" dates: Peanut Butter Chip Chewy, Sweet & Salty Mixed Nut Granola, Chocolate Chip Chewy Granola, Trail Mix Dark Chocolate Cranberry Chewy Granola, Sweet & Salty Peanut Pretzel Bars.

October 9, 2012 – Bliss Unlimited, LLC, Eugene, Oregon is recalling Luna & Larry's Coconut Bliss Chocolate Peanut Butter Non-Dairy Frozen Dessert with codes dates Nov 11 2012 through Oct 24 2013 only. This recall is being initiated because the peanut butter used in the product for these specific code dates is supplied by Sunland, Inc., which has issued a national recall of some of its products due to possible contamination with Salmonella.
Consumption of food contaminated with Salmonella can cause serious and sometimes fatal infections in young children, frail or elderly people, and others with weakened immune systems. Healthy persons infected with Salmonella often experience fever, diarrhea (which may be bloody), nausea, vomiting and abdominal pain. In rare circumstances, infection with Salmonella can result in the organism getting into the bloodstream and producing more severe illnesses such as arterial infections (i.e., infected aneurysms), endocarditis and arthritis.
The product was distributed to retail stores throughout the United States between November 2010 and December 2011. It is packaged in One Pint (473ml) paperboard containers with UPC code 8 96767 00121 9 printed on the back of the container, and the stamp with 41-61 and a date range of Nov 11 2012 through Oct 24 2012 printed on the bottom of the container.
To date, there have been no reported illnesses attributed to Luna & Larry's Coconut Bliss Chocolate Peanut Butter Non-Dairy Frozen Dessert and the recall does not include any other flavors or date codes.

Earth Balance is expanding the recall of the above product to include ALL "Best Buy" dates, because these products may be contaminated with Salmonella.

Popcorn Indiana Bacon Ranch, 9oz.
Dale and Thomas Popcorn is voluntarily recalling a limited number of ready-to-eat bags of select flavors of Popcorn, Indiana-brand popcorn products because of possible contamination by Listeria monocytogenes. The recalled products were distributed after August 8th, 2012 with Best By dates of February 4th, 2013 through March 12th, 2013.
The only affected product that was potentially available at the Wedge was the Popcorn Indiana Bacon Ranch, 9oz with a Best By date of 2/18/2013. The UPC on this product is 843571001935.

Clif Bar & Company is initiating a voluntary recall today of a small amount of 12-pack Blueberry Crisp CLIF® Bars and individual mislabeled Blueberry Crisp CLIF Bars in Chocolate Chip CLIF Bar Wrappers with one "Best By" date 17MAR13G3 that were distributed to a limited number of stores predominately east of the Mississippi. The 12-packs may contain Blueberry Crisp CLIF Bars that are mislabeled with Chocolate Chip CLIF Bar wrappers and do not list almonds in the ingredient statement. Clif is taking this precautionary safety step for people who are allergic to almonds.
A small quantity of Blueberry Crisp CLIF Bars were inadvertently placed in Chocolate Chip CLIF Bar wrappers and these mislabeled bars were placed inside correctly labeled Blueberry Crisp CLIF Bar 12-pack boxes. The Chocolate Chip CLIF Bar wrappers contain advisory allergen labeling which states that the product may contain traces of tree nuts.
Only the product meeting the following criteria is affected:
- 12-pack boxes of Blueberry Crisp CLIF Bars with "Best By" date 17MAR13G3 UPC: 7-22252-30260-1
- Blueberry Crisp CLIF Bars mislabeled in Chocolate Chip CLIF Bar individual wrappers with the same "Best By" date 17MAR13G3 UPC: 7-22252-10090-0
NO other CLIF Bar products, pack sizes, flavors or "Best By" date codes are affected.
The company is strongly advising consumers who have almond allergies not to consume these mislabeled bars with "Best By" date 17MAR13G3 and discard them to avoid the possibility of an allergic reaction. People with an allergy to almonds run the risk of serious or life-threatening allergic reaction. No allergic reactions have been reported to date.

Jarrow Formulas Baby's Jarro-Dophilus
The affected product is sold in 2.5oz packages with a UPC of 790011030133. The recall applies to lots 43902D10, 44220H10, 44632J10, 44895L10, and 45259C11. These lots were distributed between April 2010 and March 2011.
Jarrow Formulas, Inc was notified that its supplier of GalactOoligoSaccharide (GOS) is recalling this ingredient due to a possible Salmonella contamination. As a result, Jarrow Formulas, Inc is now voluntarily recalling the above lots of Baby's Jarro-Dophilus due to the presence of recalled GOS. No illnesses have been reported from Baby's Jarro-Dophilus and JFI stresses this is a precautionary measure as lab results have this far tested negative for Salmonella.

Voluntary Recall of 12oz Tejava Premium Iced Tea
As a precautionary measure, certain production lots of Tejava Premium Iced Tea in 12oz glass bottles are being recalled due to the possible presence of glass fragments which could be harmful if swallowed.

An update from Kadejan:
After review of documentation and further testing of the product and surfaces involved in the recall of Smoked Chicken Tenders delievered to the Wedge Community Co-op on October 14th, 2011, it was determined that the product in question was NOT adulterated at any time. This confirms Kadejan's expectation that the product was never adulterated. Again, this voluntary recall was issued out of extreme caution.
At this time, Kadejan Inc. is lifting the recall and is confident that any of the recalled product distributed by the Wedge and or consumed by the consumer is safe and free of adulteration.
Kadejan Inc. is sorry for the inconvenience this may have caused and is reviewing testing protocols and procedures to ensure this situation does not present itself again.

Kadejan Smoked Chicken Tenders purchased at the Wedge on or since Friday October 14, 2011.
Kadejan contacted us late Monday afternoon. Test results from the environment in which the product was produced are inconsistent for Listeria. Please return it for a full refund.
There is no reason to believe the product itself was contaminated. This recall is from an abundance of caution. We will continue to follow up with the company and give you information as we receive it.

NewChapter brand Probiotic Colon has been recalled due to possible E.coli contamination. Containers with an expiration date of 2/29/2012 and a lot code of 01210350A have been recalled.
Items with this expiration date were available, but not sold, at the Wedge. Our currently stocked products have not been recalled. If you have any further questions, please contact Customer Service.
Frontier brand conventional bulk Curry Powder and Muchi Curry Powder have been recalled due to possible salmonella contamination.
The conventional Curry Powder was sold at the Wedge between Dec 29th & Jan 28th. The organic curry powder that we currently sell is not affected.
The recall for conventional Muchi Curry Powder is for product sold since Oct 26th.
