Teas

As a connoisseur of green tea, Wedge Grocery Buyer Fern Weiss has a special fondness for the Wedge's tea section. Consequently, the selection here is wide, unusual, and much of it is Fair Trade certified.

"We carry a wide selection," says Fern, ticking off the teas with a note of pride in her voice, "including black, green, white, rooibos, and honey bush" (a tea similar to green tea's medicinal properties, but with no caffeine). "The companies we buy are great, real adventurers in the tea industry."

We carry Celestial Seasonings, Republic of Tea, Oregon Chai, Equal Exchange, and with a certain local flair, we also carry tea from the Nepal Natural Tea Industry tea, who have a family connection to the owners of Himalayan Chai/Nepal Natural Tea Industries.

Coffees

All of the coffee sold at the Wedge is organically grown, fairly traded, Arabica coffee. Some of the Wedge staff has had the opportunity to accompany Peace Coffee and Equal Exchange on visits to Nicaraguan coffee farms where our beans are grown.

At the Wedge, you can find Peace Coffee, Just Coffee, Equal Exchange, and Jim's Organic Coffee.
