What do you think of when you hear the words soy sauce? Chinese takeout packs? That bottle in the back of your refrigerator that you only take out when you need a drop or two in a marinade? Thin, runny, salty? Can't use it because you are wheat intolerant? Maruso Soy Sauce is determined to change that perception and shake up traditional concepts of soy sauce.

Unlike most soy sauces, Maruso Soy Sauce has a thick, rich, syrupy texture. What this means is that it clings to your food. This quality significantly enhances its versatility as a sauce and condiment. Use it as an Asian alternative to ketchup when serving French fries. Drizzle it over your fried eggs for a lively breakfast kick. Brush it over meat, fish and vegetables before grilling. Maruso will caramelize beautifully on the surface of your food.

Unlike conventional soy sauces, Maruso is wheat free and significantly lower in sodium. However, lower in sodium and wheat free does not mean lacking in flavor. It is a wonderful, low fat, low sodium alternative to seasoning your vegetables. Try it with the asparagus recipe included. You'll find yourself gravitating to it when choosing a condiment.

Our family has been producing gourmet soy sauce products in Taiwan for over 100 years. Maruso Soy Sauce is brewed in traditional clay pots using US grown black soy beans. We use sea salt for a lower sodium content. These quality ingredients and our small batch brewing method allow us to produce an unsurpassed product.
