The Wedge Health and Body Care Department offers several options so parents can pamper their babies (and themselves) with gentle ingredients. Our staff stays up-to-date on research about the many ingredients used in personal care products, because what is put on skin is absorbed by the body. The more we learn about the multisyllabic, unpronounceable ingredients on personal care product labels, the more concern we have about products created for a baby's sensitive skin.

We are proud to carry a selection of pure and gentle products for babies and mamas. These featured companies represent a few of the products available at the Wedge.

Motherlove

Based in Colorado, Motherlove Herbals started in 1990 with herbal products created to support breastfeeding. The product line has since branched out to include Nipple Cream, Pregnant Belly Salve, Diaper Rash Relief Balm and Rhoid Balm.

Lüsa Organics

Based in Viroqua, WI, Rachel Wolf originally created her products for her own two children. Made with natural ingredients like jojoba oil, beeswax and chamomile and calendula plant extracts, these products are great for diaper rash, sunburn and otherwise sensitive or irritated skin, whether baby or adult. My personal favorite for the bad-day blues is the "Cranky Pants" essential oil blend with sweet orange, lavender, clementine, tangerine, and ylang ylang.

Earth Mama, Angel Baby

This company was started in Oregon. Based on generations of women's wisdom and traditional plant medicine, Earth Mama, Angel Baby products are cruelty-free, certified vegan, kosher, and 100% toxin-free, with no petrochemicals, parabens, SLS, artificial preservatives, fragrances or dyes. The Wedge currently offers the Angel Baby Lotion, Shampoo and Body Wash (sudsy, yet gentle!) and Diaper Rash Soap.
