The Wedge Co-op buys pork from crate-free pork producers only, and, as a certified organic retailer, the Wedge places a high priority on carrying pork produced on farms that uphold "the spirit of organics" as well as the letter of the USDA organic law. When possible, Wedge buyers and/or the Wedge R&D Coordinator visits the actual farms from whom we purchase pork in order to see for ourselves the practices in question.
