I just spoke with Scott Androff, president of Atmosklear. This product is absolutely not tested on rabbits (or any other animal.) Also, by law, if active ingredients are less than 1% they do not need to be listed. Atmosklear is a proprietary blend of inorganic salts (not petroleum based, therefore good for chemical-sensitive people) in an aqueous (water-based) solution. We've had tons of positive feedback about this product. I guess it's here to stay. -Fern, Purchasing Manager
I'm afraid there is no room for a "do-it-yourself" grinder. Plus, those monsters are notorious for breaking down! -Fern, Purchasing Manager
Thanks for the suggestion! Guess what - we do have a Lost and Found! It's located behind the Customer Service desk. Did you lose something? -Christina, Front End Manager
I agree wholeheartedly! We do carry cloth bags in aisle 7 as well as at some of the registers. Look for weekend promotions of "String bags for a buck." We are partnering with EcoBags to make reusable bags accessible to everyone. We hope to do this a few times a year and promote it in our newsletter along with information on reducing the amount of bags the Wedge and its shoppers use. We also support a great Green Patch program. Ask any cashier for info. Thanks for noticing - we're working on it! -Christina, Front End Manager
I'm sorry you couldn't find the cheese you wanted. I haven't stopped carrying any cheese since the cheese case was rearranged, but we may have been running low when you came in. I feel really bad that you couldn't find anyone to help you, so I have extended the cheese production hours. There should be a cheese person available from 9 am to 7 pm, Monday through Friday. -Jenna, Cheese Buyer
Thanks for the heads up! Target is selling organics? Wow. The times they are a-changing!! I did a little price survey and discovered that Cub beat our prices on three comparable organic items, Target beat us on 4 comparable items, Byerly's didn't beat us on any comparable items, and Whole Foods had 5 cheaper organic items. But let me put this in perspective. The cheaper organic items at Cub and Target were either packaged or organic bananas, both of which can be bought at "corporate volumes" with which an independent co-op simply cannot compete, not even the Wedge. Their warehouses are just sooo big. Are we competitive with our corporate competition? I still think so - Look at it another way: Cub had 19 organic items (mostly packaged). The Wedge carries 199 organic produce items, mostly fresh, and most comparable products match or beat Cub and Target. How's that for a small independent business? Also, when comparing us to our multi-franchise competition, please take into account our quality, our brilliant staff, and our dedication to the organic movement. In those areas, the produce department is never matched. -Barth, Organic Certification Coordinator
We are looking into picking up White Earth products - thanks for the vote! -Fern, Purchasing Manager
