Bicycles Reach School Children in Togo!

Share

This just in from our friend Olowo-n'djo Tchala, Founder and CEO of Alaffia.

Dear Friends of Alaffia,

I am happy to inform you that the bicycles that we shipped back in July have finally made it through Togolese customs. After negotiations with officials and the Minister of Social Affairs, the bicycles were allowed into the country and will be delivered to the children at an upcoming ceremony.

Remembering the efforts of everyone—stores, volunteers, friends, customers and Alaffia employees—and looking at the improvements in our communities from previous years' projects, I feel we must continue. My goal is to have two full containers ready to ship by the time all the current bicycles have been distributed. The time line for this is the end of July.

There is so much to share and talk about, but we all have so little time. Therefore, I will stop here for now. With all my heart, I thank all of you once again for your support.
