The 8th Annual Living Green Expo features over 250 exhibitors who offer practical advice on how to make effective sustainable choices. And once again, the Twin Cities food co-ops will be one of the event's major sponsors.
Learn from the experts in one of the 62 workshops. Get in on the latest green technologies. Connect with others who value green living.
And while you're there, be sure to stop by and visit the co-ops at booth numbers E9 and E-10, located between the Kid's Area and Exhibitor Lounge on the main level, and taste the flavorful difference of local, organic and sustainably produced food.
Admission is free! Secure bike storage and parking is available, and the Expo is accessible by bus. Visit www.livinggreen.org for more information on exhibitors, workshops and activities.
New this year
The Kid's Area on the upper level will offer a smorgasbord of activities, special events and visitors for the whole family. Downstairs, you can enter a gigantic globe through the International dateline and explore the planet through an interactive lesson.
For your home, visit with over 20 energy-related vendors who can help you save on your electricity, heating and cooling bills. Plus, an Outdoor Living Tent will include lawn, garden, and patio information.
Visit the Food Demonstration Stage and Visit with local farmers at the Food and Farm Festival on the upper level. Attend workshops on buying sustainable food on a budget and home canning and freezing — back by popular demand.
The Living Green Expo is a great networking opportunity to help you find a green job. Bring a "business" card (just your name and contact info) and attend the green jobs panel presentation.
The Alternative Vehicle Area will feature several "green" vehicles including electric hybrids, electric plug-ins, and other innovative technologies.
