The new Wedge website went live on June 15. Special thanks to Joe Holasek of the Wedge IT department for his programming skills; Special Projects Manager Kristi Plumier for her stunning organizational prowess and photographic talent; and Customer Service Supervisor Marcos Lopez-Carlson, who made invaluable suggestions throughout the process. If you have not looked at www.wedge.coop in a while, let us know what you think. We hope many of you will click the Email Preferences link on the home page and sign up for Food Recall Notices and Action Alerts. This is the best way for us to let you know if there is a recall affecting products sold at the co-op.

Check out the rack of green bicycles in front of Uniforms Unlimited on the west side of Lyndale, one block south of the Wedge. The bike kiosk is part of a citywide bike rental program called Nice Ride Minnesota. The Wedge and Equal Exchange are sponsoring the kiosk. Bikes will be available through October, and then go into winter storage until May. Check out the details at http://www.niceridemn.org/.

Elections are coming! The October issue of At the WEDGE will contain your ballot. The board decided not to do electronic voting this year, so we will go back to our paper ballot format with voting via mail or in the store.

Thanks to everyone who participated in the online member survey. Results are being tabulated as I write.

As of July 1, we began distributing the $45/year member register discounts a little differently than before. A 10% discount worth up to $3.75 becomes available on the first of each month. You are welcome to use this amount all at once (by spending $37.50 or more) or little by little on smaller purchases. It has to be distributed as a 10% discount, so if you want to use $1 of discount you have to spend $10. Any unused portion will be added to the discount available the following month, until June 30 every year.
