Board of Directors Election Results

Results of the election of directors from the mail ballot were tallied by the accounting firm of Caldwell, Taylor and Brown, of Golden Valley. Additional ballots were verified and counted by co-op staff members at the annual meeting. Here are the results.

Four positions were open. Candace Dow, Adiel Tel-Oren, Marty Broan and Steve Kupetz will serve two-year terms that end at the annual membership meeting in 1998. Directors Bob Kleiber, Jackie Hunt Christensen and Avner Ben-Ner were elected last year and will continue to serve their terms, which end at the annual meeting in 1997.

The Board welcomes new members Marty and Steve, and wishes to thank outgoing director Darlene Tauer for her many years of service. Thanks also to the candidates who were not elected. The willingness to serve the cooperative by running for the board is a vital aspect of active co-op membership.

At their first meeting the new board elected the following officers: Bob Kleiber, President; Adiel Tel-Oren, Vice-President; Candace Dow, Secretary/Treasurer.
