Discover the Local Plants that Surround Us

Have you ever been out for a walk and wished you knew more about the plants that are common to so many of our local neighborhoods? Come stroll and explore the history, healing powers, and abundance of local plants that surround you, often mistaken as simple weeds.

Seward Co-op Grocery & Deli and Lise Wolff of the American Herbalist Guild, are offering two herb walks this season. Join us on June 23 from 6:308:00 p.m. at Lake Nokomis, and on August 27 from 10:00-11:30 a.m. at Minnehaha Falls. The cost of the herb walk is $15 per person. Please pre-register and pay at the Seward Co-op customer service desk.

Lise has studied herbalism for 15 years with a variety of notable herbalists including Susan Weed and Matthew Wood, with whom she apprenticed in 1995. She is a professional member of the AHG and is Vice-President of the North Country Herbalist Guild.
