New Farmers' Market to Focus on Local, Sustainable & Organic Foods

What:

The Mill City Farmers' Market will be the first farmers' market in Minneapolis to focus on locally grown, seasonal foods and products from the region's finest sustainable and organic family farmers and businesses.

When:

Every Saturday, June 10th - October 21st, 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

Where:

On the Plaza next to the new Guthrie Theater, located on Chicago Avenue along the Mississippi River. A large part of the Market will be located in the Mill City Museum's covered Train Shed.

Products:

Fresh produce for all seasons including many heirloom vegetable varieties; raspberries, strawberries, apples, pears, grapes and rhubarb. The Market will also offer eggs, milk, chicken, beef, lamb, bison, trout and salmon, yak and pork from the region's finest sustainable family farms. A lovely selection of artisan specialty breads and pastries will be available as well as tarts, galettes, muffins and bars.
