We do our own price comparisons too on a regular basis. Glad you noticed. Thanks.
Our red palm oil is wild crafted. But I do appreciate the heads up.
I can totally empathize- thank you for your comment. The only real suggestion I can offer is to get here either as early as possible (we open at 9am) during the week or shop as late as possible on the weekends. We seem to be slowest at those times.
We tried a few kinds of non-dairy sour creams and threw them away. We have tried a few different almond cheeses that were dicontinued by our distibution company. Most of the others use trans fats. I will look and see what's around and get some more almond products.
Glad they work well for you! We like the Wedge private label, too- great formulations, high quality ingredients, packed in recyclable and non-reactive glass containers, at an affordable price!
We are working to expand the grain meats section. It has been slow going but we are squeezing and moving products to make some more space for them. Thank you.
You're welcome!
You are in luck! Someone has heard your cries! Rice Slice cheese or Galaxy Foods has just come out with a casein-free cheese. Looks like they have a couple flavors. Soon as we can get them, we'll get them. Thank you.
Generally - because of the nature of bulk - cross-contamination is unavoidable. Products in the bulk department may contain major allergens including peanuts, tree nuts, soybean products, wheat, milk, eggs, fish, shell fish. Products that do not contain them may have been exposed to products that do contain allergens. If a peanut or other allergy is of serious concern, packaged products may be a safer choice.
Unfortunately, the one hemp salad dressing that had been available to us was discontinued by our manufacturer.
Cashiers are accustomed to giving them out for reusing bags, but if you ask, you can get them for reusing containers. You can receive a maximum of 5 green patches per visit. Thanks for your feedback.
We definitely plan to continue with Dr. Weil's newsletter and I am sorry about the interruption we had in November and December. Unfortunately, they had a problem when they switched printers and this caused us to miss an issue and be delayed on another. This has been cleared up and hopefully will not be a probem in the future. Thanks so much for your feedback.
Sorrell Ridge was discontinued by our distributor. We will be bringing in some jams of the St. Dalfor brand which are fruit juice sweetened. Please look for this product by the end of March.
Thanks for your concern. A while back, we changed to the bulk-only date display. We received an overwhelming amount of requests to package them. Most people reuse the containers and we still keep our most popular varieties available in bulk.
Hemp milk is here! Look for it in aisle 4 by our other soy and rice and other non-dairy alternatives.
Actually, this is not correct. Standard pasteurization heats milk to 161.5 degrees for 15 seconds. Ultra-pasteurized milk is heated to 280 degrees for 2 seconds.
We currently have no retail pack available other than the bamboo flatware and the recycled product. We are working with the distributor of our bulk utensils to see about the possibility of retail packs in the biodegradable products.
This is the first I've heard about glutamates in Shelton's broths. I looked up ingredients listings - and their organic broth has nothing listed (i.e. "natural" flavors) that could mean presence of glutamates. On the contrary, Health Valley does include "natural flavors" in their ingredients. Hmm... I'd suggest giving Shelton's organic broths a try.
Unfortunately, I can find no information about this brand. We do carry hemp seed butter in the refrigerated case by the other butters.
This product simply changed packaging. It is now a rather brown package.
No room currently. We'll put this on our new product wish list for future contemplation.
We are working on making a spot for the Soy Deli Hawaiian Style. You can look for it in the dairy case soon!
Thanks for writing. If you're talking about Greek Gods yogurt, we do have access to it and can special order a case, but for now, space being tight and the greek Fage line selling so well, we're holding off bringing it in.
Unfortunately, we don't have enough space in the store right now to offer a salad bar. The closest we come is the selection of green salads and dressings that we offer in the Grab & Go case to the left of the deli counter.
It's not a matter of quantity as much as it is an issue of space. In regards to medium bulk eggs, we simply cannot store all the eggs we currently offer. We had to create space and the slow seller had to go. You can still get medium eggs. Harmony Organics have mediums we carry. They are prepackaged, but they are really, really good! Thank you!
