In late September six new solar panels were installed on the Wedge bakery roof. As explained in the April/May 2002 Newsletter (Sun Power at the Wedge), the solar panels help the Wedge preheat the water used for cooking and cleaning at the Wedge, reducing the amount of natural gas (a non-renewable resource) needed to heat the water to the required temperature. The first set of panels worked so well that we decided to get more. This is a case where "a little is good so more is better" is actually true!
