The time has quickly arrived to elect five member-owners to serve on the Board of Directors of the Wedge Community Co-op. We have five positions to fill this year from a slate of six highly qualified, experienced, diverse and interesting people. The board has the duty to ensure the success and purpose of the business for the benefit of you, the owners. The Nominations Committee has found that people with the following general characteristics are usually best suited to perform the tasks necessary to accomplish the required results:

  • Understand co-op principles and board duties on behalf of the member-owners.
  • Exposure to business principles, practices and understanding financial information and processes.
  • Committee, ad hoc group, or board experience/involvement in a professional organization.
  • Allocation of sufficient time and energy to perform the required functions in a thorough and conscientious manner.

Please read the statement from each candidate and consider his or her qualifications. Your vote is extremely important!

The election results will be announced at your Annual Meeting on Thursday evening, October 21, 2004. I personally thank you in advance for your participation in this key activity of electing your Wedge directors.
