Distribution:

At the WEDGE, the Wedge Co-op newsletter, is mailed to Wedge members and distributed in the store to shoppers. Emailed notices of the online version and a downloadable pdf are emailed to members and the general public upon request. Ad space is limited.

Display Advertising Rates for Single Placements:

Business Card (horizontal only): 3.5" w x 2" h (2 col. in.) Member Owners: $60 Non-members: $100

One-Year Contract - 6 Issues:

Business Card: Member Owners $324 ($54/placement)

Business Card: Non-Members $540 ($90/placement)

Not-for-profit Organizations:

We would rather publish an article about your services than sell you an ad. Contact Elizabeth Archerd, Editor of At the WEDGE, at 612-874-7275 or email elizabeth@wedge.coop for information. Submission dates are the same as for ads.

Payment Terms:

Payment must accompany submission of ad copy. We do not invoice. Bring payment to the Customer Service Desk at the Wedge or mail to the Wedge Co-op. Make checks out to "Wedge Co-op" and send to the attention of the Newsletter Editor.

Advertisement Requirements:

Send computer formatted ads directly to jim@handrigan.com. PDF is the preferred format but .tif, 300 ppi. is also acceptable. At the WEDGE is a four-color publication (CMYK).

Design services for ads can be contracted with Handrigan Design by contacting jim@handrigan.com. Wedge fee for ads does not include design.

Advertising Policies:

  • The Wedge will primarily accept advertising related to the newsletter's educational mission about food, nutrition and the environment.
  • The Wedge also will accept general advertising.
  • The Wedge reserves the right to reject any advertising.
  • Acceptance of an ad does not imply endorsement of a product or service by the Wedge Community Co-op Board, management, staff or members.
  • Acceptance of an ad does not imply a commitment by the Wedge to provide any editorial mention of an advertiser or the advertiser's products or services.
  • While the Wedge may plan special issues focusing on themes related to the newsletter's mission, planning special advertising and/or editorial sections, and may solicit advertising to accompany such themes, editorial decisions will at all times remain the independent judgment of the editor.
  • The Wedge reserves the right to insert the word "Advertisement" in any ad.
  • The Wedge reserves the right to box any ad.
  • Advertising that is supposed to be received camera-ready by Wedge, which is judged not camera ready will be made camera-ready at the advertiser's expense.
  • The Wedge requires payment with ad copy for each issue.
  • Wedge may limit amount of advertising in each issue.
  • Wedge may give advertising space priority to members.
  • No advertising for products which compete with Wedge Co-op products will be accepted (no supplement or skin care product ads, for example).
