Sustainability defines everything we do at the Wedge Community Co-op. From the products we source to the organizations we support, to our composting and recycling programs, concern for our environment and our community is always top of mind. We support over 40 local growers, champion organic in every department, and provide a space for community growth in our LEED-certified Table location.
It’s such an important part of our mission that we have a whole job devoted to it. Erin Hertog is the Wedge’s Organic Certification and Sustainability Coordinator. She works to keep the Wedge committed to our goals of creating a more ecologically, economically, and socially fair and viable food system. And she keeps owners updated on our progress with the annual Sustainability Report, an important measurement and transparency tool for the co-op.
